A Perspective View of the Church of San Martin, and of the Arc of Servius, the seventh Emperor of Rome. In Paris with Jacques Chereau, rue St Jacques de la Fontaine above St. Severin (remainder of legend should have print number, unfortunately worn off and faded). Top Caption is reversed because Vue Perspective prints are mirror images - intended to be viewed though a Zograscope or similar mirrored and lensed device. Vue Perspective prints were made from approximately 1740 to 1820. This image is c.1750. Hand numbered #70 at the top. On reverse of print is reversed ink stain #69. Paper is hand-made rag.
