Originally attributed to Manet, anomalies of symmetry and isolation of a tiny 'mole' or 'fairy-kiss' 1cm below left lip extreme, present in Manet's and sister Jeanne's portraits and a hi-res photo recently published in wikipedia confirm the image is a mirror reflection and may be the only certain self-portrait. Her 'maiden fringe' and wedding gold suggest commenced within days of marriage (Manet's engraver, Henri Guerard). The date would commemorate exactly 10 years of association between Eva and her Tutor. The inscription 'Mille Vue_' (Thousandth Look) is preceded with value '46', corresponding with, and apparently relating to Eva's 46th finished portrait since first collaboration with Manet. Like Berthe before her, once married, Eva would never pose for Manet again.
