Soviet leaders Red Square, Moscow, USSR celebrating the second anniversary of the October Revolution. At this time Trotsky was a still a powerful figure in Russia and held the powerful chairman of the Supreme Military Council position. The image was altered by removing supposed enemies of the Soviet state. Four people were removed. Trotsky (wearing glasses and giving a salute in the original photo) and another man were removed leaving the blank area to Lenin's left. Lev Kamenev was removed leaving a blank area to the right of the saluting man near the upper left. Khalatov, another of Stalin's opponents and another bearded figure, was removed leaving a dark area over the shoulder of the man in the lower right. / アンソニー・ヴァン・ダイク
